From the launch of Roam App 2.0 to pioneering collaborations across Web3, AI, and decentralized infrastructure, Roam is setting new standards in seamless connectivity and digital empowerment.

1. Launching Roam App 2.0

On August 31, Roam officially launched Roam App 2.0, offering a complete redesign and new features to deliver an enhanced user experience. With the v2.0.2 update introduced shortly after that, key functionalities include:

• Super Staking Pool: A new opportunity for Roam Miner Owners to maximize rewards through staking $ROAM tokens.

• Enhanced User Interface (UI): Simplified navigation and improved accessibility for seamless interaction.

• Roam Token Payments: Expanded functionality allowing users to transact and pay within the app using $ROAM.

• Updated Roam Point Mechanism: Adjustments to the rewards system, ensuring fairer and more engaging incentives for WiFi hotspot owners and active users.

These updates emphasize Roam’s commitment to creating a platform that is both user-friendly and technically robust, enhancing the overall experience for millions of global users.

2. New Roam Point Mechanism

Starting August 28, 2025, Roam implemented an updated Roam Points mechanism to boost engagement and support long-term network growth. Key updates include:

• WiFi Rewards:

  • Public WiFi and Private WiFi: 100 → 200 Roam Points

  • OpenRoaming WiFi: 300 → 400 Roam Points

• Check-In Rewards:

  • User Check-In: 10 → 15 Roam Points

  • WiFi Owner: 5 → 8 Roam Points

• Daily Rewards:

  • High activity: 12 → 4 Roam Points/day

  • Medium activity: 6 → 2 Roam Points/day

• Welcome Bonus for Roam Miner Owners:

  • Roam Rainier MAX60: 3,000 → 6,000 Roam Points

  • Roam Baker MAX30: 1,000 → 3,000 Roam Points

3. 3+ Million Registered Users

In August, Roam achieved a significant milestone with over 3 million registered users across 190+ countries. 4. Global eSIM Bounty Program

From August 4 to August 29, 2025, Roam hosted the Global eSIM Bounty Program, offering 30,000 $ROAM and 300 GB of eSIM data as rewards. The program invited participants to create videos, articles, or infographics sharing their experiences with Roam eSIM.

During the four-week campaign, the program received thousands of submissions, demonstrating strong participation and widespread interest. The content, ranging from detailed articles to creative videos and visually compelling infographics, contributed to Roam’s growth and increased visibility of the project while rewarding users for their efforts. All prizes have been distributed to the winners who participated in the event.

5.  Roam X MEMO Giveaway

Following the partnership announcement with Memo, Roam launched a giveaway running from August 12 to September 8, 2025. Participants had the chance to win $5,000 in Global eSIM, 200,000 $MEMO tokens, MEMO Points, and limited DIDs.
