Token Reversal Pool
The Token Reversal Pool in the Roam app allows users to convert $ROAM tokens back into Roam Points. This feature provides flexibility for users who wish to re-engage with Roam’s services through points, while also supporting the long-term value stability of both points and tokens.
Previously, the conversion rate from tokens to points was calculated using real-time averages from the General and Sticker Burning Pools. Although this approach offered a dynamic conversion rate, it also caused instability and unpredictability, especially during periods of high activity. Under the new rule, the conversion rate is determined by the average of the last 50 burning cycles from the General and Sticker Burning Pools. This adjustment aims to provide users with a more stable and consistent conversion rate when converting tokens.
The core burning mechanism remains unchanged: 97% of the converted tokens are burned permanently, and a standard reversal fee of 3% continues to apply.
Lock-Up Pool
The Lock-Up Pool was created for users who want to hold their $ROAM tokens while earning extra rewards. By locking tokens for 28 days, users receive free eSIM data based on the amount locked, making it a smart choice for frequent travelers and heavy data users.
During Phase One of the Lock-Up Pool, the amounts were 500, 1000, and 2000 $Roam tokens for 3 different tiers.
The new Lock-Up tiers for Phase 2 of the Lock-Up Pool are as follows:
Lock 1,000 $ROAM to receive 5,000 MB of data per month
Lock 2,000 $ROAM to receive 12,000 MB of data per month
Lock 4,000 $ROAM to receive 30,000 MB of data per month
